Recycling of polypropylene with high melt flow rate, commonly denoted as PP-HP. Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic polymer widely used in various applications due to its versatile properties, including high chemical resistance and toughness.
HDPE is recycled, once separated (usually by density), and then shredded and melted down to create a refined polymer. These pellets can then be used in manufacturing once again.It is valued for its utility in injection moulding and its light weight – products made from HDPE are often lighter and therefore cheaper and easier to transport.
Linear low-density polyethylene is a semi-crystalline polymer with many short branches on its main molecular chains. This means that these linear molecules do not become entangled as easily as LDPE and HDPE. The figure below indicates the difference between LLDPE and other common forms of polyethylene.
